Specialist Care for Hillingdon Residents

Our Hillingdon location means patients can access specialist services without the time and expense of travelling into central London. Whether you're a commuter from Hillingdon station struggling with dry eyes from air-conditioned offices, or a parent whose child has been referred for colorimetry, we're here, just off Hillingdon Circus.

Specialist eye care is available close to home at Eyewise on Long Lane, where Hillingdon residents can access dry eye care, colorimetry, and EyeDream orthokeratology under one roof.

Dry Eye Clinic: Hillingdon commuters who spend hours in air-conditioned trains and offices are particularly prone to dry eye. Rather than handing you a bottle of drops, we investigate the root cause, meibomian gland dysfunction, aqueous deficiency, blepharitis, or environmental triggers, then build a tailored treatment programme that actually resolves the problem.

Colorimetry & Visual Stress: Our Intuitive Colorimeter is the gold-standard tool for diagnosing visual stress. Patients from Bishop Ramsey School, Vyners School, and other Hillingdon schools are referred to us when reading difficulties persist despite good eyesight. Precision-tinted lenses prescribed after a colorimetry assessment can transform reading comfort and academic performance.

EyeDream & Myopia Control: For Hillingdon patients whose short-sightedness keeps increasing, EyeDream orthokeratology lenses offer a remarkable solution, wear them overnight, see clearly all day without glasses or daytime contacts. For children, EyeDream also slows myopia progression, reducing lifetime risk of associated eye conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is colorimetry and how do I know if I need it?

Colorimetry is a specialist assessment for visual stress, a condition where the brain struggles to process certain visual patterns, particularly text. Symptoms include words appearing to move, blur, or shimmer on the page, headaches when reading, losing your place frequently, and eye strain. If you or your child experiences any of these, a colorimetry assessment can determine whether precision-tinted lenses would help.

How does EyeDream work?

EyeDream uses specially designed gas-permeable contact lenses worn only while you sleep. Overnight, they gently reshape the front surface of your eye (the cornea) so that when you remove the lenses in the morning, you can see clearly all day without glasses or daytime contact lenses. The effect is temporary and fully reversible. EyeDream also helps slow the progression of short-sightedness in children.
